Restrictive Free Writing

Structure is very good to have in your paper. Professor McArdle has a good point of the introduction to your paper being like a map. If you can set up your intro and it has all your points and does indeed function somewhat like a map for your paper then not only does that help your reader flow with the paper better, but it is also very helpful for you the writer. It allows you to stay on task and not let your points get mixed up and all over the place. Another thing that is good about this is it doesn't allow you to mix in points that may be cool, but don't really have anything to do with your main point.
