New Bike

Spring break was a lot of fun. I spent most of my time hanging out with my dad. Near the end of the week we decided to try and fix my bike my grandparents had gotten me near the beginning of this school year. Unfortunately we were unable to fix it and no bicycle shop near my home could fix it either. It was an Autobike. It was an interesting bike and the name of the bike fit very well. It would shift on its own when you got to a high enough speed. Anways with that shifting mechanism we had no choice, but to toss it and get a new bike. I didn't really plan on getting a new or even a really nice bike, but my dad surprized me with a new very nice bike. So far I love it. It has 21 gears though so that takes a little getting used to, but it is pretty easy.

I have never heard of a bike having 21 gears. Do you ride your bike around campus or is it just for when you are home?

I ride it around campus. It is more of a mountain bike, but it does really well on the roads to. Probably not as well as a road bike, but it works for me. As for the 21 gears it is a little strange. It has 7 back gears and 3 front gears. Giving it a possible 21 gears. I'm sure they are useful for off-roading, but I only is 1/3 of them.
